We will win the Big East in Football next season.

We have most all the key guys coming back.  AND, Cincy, Louisville and a dilapidated WVU at home.

As long as we get past the Teel-less Rutgirls, Brown-less UClown and the ShitsBurgh...then we'll be fine.  A much better scenario than this season anyway.

We didn't really have the Non-Conference schedule this year OR home/away schedule to have a good year.  We NEVER play well AT UofL or at CINCY.

So...that being said, my Prediction is that we with the Big East with a overall 10-2 record.  I think we might drop one of those MIA/FSU games...and a conference game(Prolly at Pitt).

Thats all...

GO BULLS!!!

You never know what may happen. Injuries and chemistry affect things substantially. I would rather wait and see.

Until I see a running back separate himself from the pack, we will live and die by Grothe on offense.  And, with all due respect to Ben Williams, with him gone now Franks will have no choice but to go with the runningbacks that were brought in on scholarship to face Big East opponents.

As for our defense... who will step up on the other side of the line?    Our interior line will be fine.  Chris Robinson will definitely help us out at the LB position, assuming he has his head on straight.  Jerrell Young will be a stud at SS.

For special teams.... OH BOY!!!!!  I can't wait to see who steps up as the punt returner.  We got Theo Wilson, George Baker, Lindsey Lamar, maybe Colby Erskin... I would love one of those four to earn it.  Marcus Edwards was boring!!  He's a great WR, but jeez he never did anything worth a **** on punt returns.  And who'll go alongside Bogan on KR????   HCJL has some work to do!!!!!

I'm not sure which RBs you are talking about that Franks should have been playing but if it is either Ford or Taylor either both or one of them was injured a good part of last year.

Not to mention the OL being banged up.

how anyone can predict usf winning the big east is beyond reasonable comprehension

rutgers is separating themselves form usf with each passing year

with teel they will beat usf because they are the better team and better coached

Teel is gone.  With or without Teel, I don't see Rutgers (or anyone else in the Big East for that matter) being world beaters.  Overall, the conference sucks.  The problem is, USF has been even more lackluster in conference play in recent years.  There is no doubt we have the potential to win the conference but until our coaches show me they can diversify our offense, implement an effective occasional blitz package, eliminate penalties and rediculous special teams mistakes and otherwise milk a consistent effort out of these players for a full season, I won't bet on USF to win the Big East.

This board can work itself into a frenzy over anything. With Selvie, Nate Allen, Murph, Grothe, Ford, Bogans, and mitchell I feel fairly confident we'll be bowl bound again.  Keep your expectations there, and then wait and see.

The rest depends on the gelling of the rebuilt OL, and replacing DB.  With that being said, four OL that are slated for starting or extended duty have played well thus far with significant playing time, and will be together this spring-- Sims, Genus, Hermann, Warren, and Estenor (he started the UL game this year).  If we bring in Savala, and Rose, they should work their way into the line-up, and Popek, Hine, McCaskill, and McGowan will be expected to contribute valued minutes.

I can't see how that group will do much worse than this year's crew that really struggled....if they gell quickly, and their athleticism gives them the opportunity to excel then we should contend.

Okay, I understand they were injured for part of the year.... but I still believe that we will better without having the burden of awarding PT to the hardest working player or whatever they said their reason was.

While surfing the news, I saw an early story out of Vegas and we were the odds-on favorite...so we got a couple different jinxes in play now.

And since I'll be in Vegas in April, I'll be accepting that wager...just to drive jinx spike through the heart....:satan
