I think it was after Trae Williams had the pick-6, we got called for excessive celebration after the touchdown. I don't remember there being "excessive" celebrating. I remember some of the other players coming down and giving Williams some high-fives and pats on the back and then they ran off to the sideline. Did I miss something, or are the Big East refs being inconsistantly bad again?

The announcers on TV said there were some of the other players dancing with the cheerleaders or something.

My best guess wathcing the play and the replay on the Jumbotron is that Trae refused to give the ball to the referee after the touchdown. I may be wrong, but that is the only thing I could come up with.

You know the answer to that - BE refs are not very good or consistent.

Inconsistently bad no they are consistently bad. In every BE game I have seen bad call after bad call.

The ref.s took the players running around the outside of the field to get to their side, instead of across the field, as Excessive Celebration. The idiot ref.s thought they were showboating. When in fact they just were trying to get back to there team mates before the kicking team got out there and they would end up with some stupid penalty for having to many men on the field.

Don't you know that USF has been branded for being a penalty maker. So all the ref.s are informed to be on their toes and hand out penalties, earned or not, or they will look like they are not doing their jobs. Somewhat like what the police have to do each day having to bring in their ticket quota for the day.

That's why the Bulls have to be a high scoring team to be able to overcome all the penalties.

They called the excessive celebration on the Carlton Mitchell TD catch, is that what y'all mean or was there one on the Trae INT as well.

I agree that it was a dumbass call.  Anything to give USF a penalty.
