CJL has an A++ personality.  He is driven to succeed.  It kills him not to win.  There is no act, this is who he is.    Getting excited about his emotional states is like being surprised when a dog licks its balls.  If you want a winner at the helm you need to accept the baggage that a winner brings with them.  When I see him super excited on the side lines I'm not upset, I'm thrilled because I know that guy is going to bring 110% to winning the game and making his program a success.

:P

It was goofy but Leavitt has done enough for this program that you have to let him have some quirks and flaws. It was irritating to see the announcers goofing on him and yukking it up talking about the mets and yankees while there was an exciting football game going on though. The whole announcing team seemed to be acting as if the game was allready decided and they were having to come up with filler to talk about.

My father always said "I wouldn't want to play for Bobby Knight, but I'd **** sure want my son to play for him."

Any sports coach has to have a disciplined team. Period.

I've never seen Leavitt so mad.  Then again, I am usually in the stands and not watching on TV.

Actually, this was my first USF TV game that I have watched since WVU last year.

I think Leavitt was pissed off at his players and rightfully so. I am STILL pissed off at the hit on the fair catch. I would have gone ape **** if I was Leavitt.

Love CJL's passion.  If he was grinning after a bad play like Les Miles (up there with Leavitt in the "might kill you someday" category) I would be concerned.

"Its Division 1 football....It ain't intramurals!!!"

Actually that is incorrect it is "Its FBS Football...It ain't intramurals!!!'

I will post this everytime you talk about Leavitt. He has done a fabulous job so far this year and for the past 10 years.  I would hope he continues to be passionate about his job.  As long as I never see him physically harm a player or verbally attack his player character then I am okay. Stay passionate, Stay hungry!!!
