Didn't he come here because his wife's family lives in Tampa?

I could swear that was the reason last year.

Also, a DT from Pensacola committed due to his mother knowing Clark.  Hopefully, he dosn't de-committ.  Coach Clark did a good job and wish him the best of luck.

yeah, mcclain apparently has offers from auburn, nc state, and probably others.  just going by what scout says right now.  hopefully he's already set on USF and we can find a good replacement soon.

"I want to be in an environment where you can make a difference in a young man's life," Clark said. "Where you can make them better men, fathers and husbands.

And you can't do that at USF?  Strange!

BTW - CJL has already told kravitz he can come back if he wants.   Sounds like kravitz will stay in NC though since his wife has a great job.  He may coach hs from what I have heard.

That was the impression I was under as well.  Thought he was a Leto grad and his wife was from the area as well.

I did see he and CJL have some VERY heated arguments on the sidelines during several games this past year.

Best of luck in the Sun Belt.

He did a good job during is short time here. I have nothing but praise for the guy. Maybe he took the step up and came to USF but found out that his heart was still with his players at FIU.

I wish the guy luck. and those of you looking down at FIU. Dont forget we were in their shoes not to long ago.

Guys Cristobal and Clark played together. If you dont think that he will have more say at FIU than at USF then you are dreaming.

Leavitt is the man here and will be the one making the decisions, some asst. coaches dont like that and move on.

Its not the end of the world. asst coaches will come n go.

Actually McClain's family lived in Tampa for quite sometime, and his grandparents, and uncle's family live in Tampa.  Clark was a plus but he was not Terrell's primary recruiting contact.

I think Clark did a good job with a young D-Line and have said that before.  Good luck to him.
