Hulk Hogan, Steven A. Smith, NYC, and USF Alumni

Sort of off topic, but did Hogan (Terry Bolla) actually graduate from USF, or did he

attend USF. You're considered an alumni - even if you didn't graduate - but I'm just

curious. I haven't seen his name attatched to too much regarding USF, other than the

trivia question sort of thing.

If I'm not mistaken Terry Bolea got through two years at USF but then decided to start pro wrestling. Technically, he isn't an alumn. However, both the Hulkster and model Lauren Hutton were famous students that for some reason or another never got their degrees.

That pretty much underscores my line of thinking. You're considered an alumni - by the school - even if you didn't graduate from there (I still get stuff from San Jose State). However, if I didn't graduate from a particular university, I don't know that I'd have any sort of allegiance to, or even interest in, it once I left. It would be interesting to talk to these folks, see what their take on USF was. Although, there's probably not a lot of people enthusiastic about discussing things they didn't compelte. Pretty much a speed bump on the road of life.

You guys remember when they're doing the ESPN Announcer gig to find prospective anchors. When they asked the one Syracuse graduate who the worst announcer was in professional sports... he stated Steven A. Smith. To this day, that was one of the funniest, most honest, and most agreeable statements I have ever heard on TV. Here's hoping our Bulls represent well before they pull the plug on that piece of crap show. When I do listen to it, its not to listen to Smith... its to see the athletes he's interviewing... they're the true entertainment. Smith is just the circus midget passing out peanuts.

 Back to Mr. Hogan, does he actually know anything about USF athletics? Is he going to sound surprised if S.A.S. asks him anything about our football program? (which I doubt he will.)
