The guy making the comments was not exactly "classy". He took a stab at our program saying we are cocky and think we  are the second coming of Notre Dame. It is one thing to say I think we can beat them because they have questions at QB and RB, but that is not what was said. Remember, we are "totally over rated." I have nothing but respect for fans like Doc that come with some knowledge and friendly banter, but do not take shots at our program and our players.

You're right -- I was talking about Doc and any others who behave similarly.  I guess I am getting old -- I like to see people believing in their team, even if it is to take shots at other teams, as long as it is on their board and not the opponent's.  What I hate to see is apathy or perpetual negativism against one's own team (not that we have any of those on our boards...).

If we lost to McNeese state if would be a bigger upset than if we would have beaten Texas last year with Vince Young.

If this happened, we and the BE would be the laughingstock of college football.

I know McNeese has a solid program, and I respect you guys coming on this board.  You guys may give us a decent game.  My only beef was with the posters

who make ridiculous claims about our program about how we are overated and cocky and stuff like that, not knowing much about our program.  Hey, we walked into Pitt in 01 as a brand new 1A team and beat them.

The McNeese State fans that are predicting a victory against us is the same as some USF fans that think we will be 10-0 in November.  So treat them with a little respect.
