If someone asked me last year how long do I think it would take to rebuild, I'd say 2-3 years.  From that perspective we are two years ahead of schedule.

Do I wish USF made it to the NCAA?  Yes

Am I I looking forward to seeing the Bulls in the NIT?  Absolutely!

I just hope our players and coaches stick around for next year.

Can someone explain to me how a team that finished 12th in their conference goes to any post-season tournament, let alone get the home game over a regular season conference champion?

College basketball is even worse than football! ESPN doesn't even have an area on their NCAAM site for the NIT. Embarassing.

You answered your own rhetorical question.

I just thought that basketball still valued the mid majors. I was wrong.

34 nonP6 teams made the NCAA Championship tourney.  I'd say that's valuing "mid" majors.

NIT instituted some new stupid rules related to P6 teams that resulted in a team like ucf getting in and getting a home game.   Still, we're in the NIT and if we are half as deserving as many on here are claiming then we should have not problem going there and winning the game in their arena

Let me know the next time the CFP has half of it's field nonP5/P4 teams

Agreed. As someone said, no matter the decision it'll be the right one.

And I do think for USF if we get invited, the decision will be left for the kids bc something tells me that CAAR is disgusted by being left out of the NCAAT and would probably rather defer to the kids than say no on his own account.

"The kids" aren't in charge for good reason.  If a "kid" wants to sit out, let them.  There's no reason a "group of kids" should have any say in the plight of the team they are abandoning!  Too much is turned over to "the kids" and we're all paying for it.

I guess there's something I'm missing but what does that have to do with the post you Quoted?
