They made announcements and if the cop told the kid to wait, then he should have (but no need for handcuffs).  Folks who waited at the other end when they were told to wait did so until FAU and the refs were off the court.  They then went on the court and the cops were fine with it.  I loved seeing the enthusiam, just be sensible about it.

I think one of the other team's players was hurt though.  The coach had to go in and extract him from the hot zone.

If this is going to be a thing going forward, the visiting team and coaches need to clear the court before getting mobbed. 

As I understand it, the SEC doesn't put up with this, but the ACC doesn't have any rules/regulations/threats-of-litigation for such. 

It's all fun and games until someone loses a limb.
