Slim chances, but I wouldn't count on it.  I have a hunch that the Rowdies move to the new Rays ballpark once complete.

I agree they'll probably play in the Rays new park, but still could have 3 out of 17 games per year in Tampa.

Instead of soccer, lets host some real american traditions like wrestlemania.

I'd be so down for that. Give season ticket holders a pre-sale shot at tickets or something like that if they can

They probably will but that would be a dumb move.  More kids in north Tampa and families that would come to the games at USF.

I know we talk about us getting promoted however what about the Rowdies? Do they plan on moving up to the MLS or are they happy playing in the minors.

It is all minor league compared to the European leagues.

I believe they’ve been denied twice prior to the Rays ownership.

They have nice niche where they are.  Also have done some remodeling of the stadium down there.  With the new baseball stadium going in down the street, I'd think it makes more since for the ownership group to keep the Rowdies where they are

Yeah, and too much overlap with the seasons for changing over baseball to soccer.  If they stay at Al Lang (which is fine for lower-level soccer), I still believe playing a few games per season at the OCS would be both great for both the Rowdies/Rays and USF.  I bet they could draw 10k to 15k in North Tampa on a few Saturday nights with the Rays and USF marketing behind the games. The student endzone would be for the rowdy supporters and the other endzone could be family general admission while selling the lower-level sidelines reserved.

Act like you’ve been there before. Turns out, for many of us, we haven’t been there before.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
