What is the effect of everything changing?  The disappointed team(s) occur further down the line?

Yes, 12 teams get in starting next year. I guess if 13 teams go undefeated and win their conference there might be an issue still.

Exactly. You will never please everybody but with 12 slots the magnitude of something like happened today reoccurring is fairly slim ............

If a team like USF went undefeated, they'd be in a 12-team playoff, regardless of being in the AAC. USF usually has good OOC games.

Yes. ESPN did an example of what the bracket would have looked like if it was this year. Don't have a screenshot but Liberty was in as the 12 spot.

How many times does anyone honestly believe a #23 Liberty would get in before the P2 realize they can just let more of their teams in?

The new playoff format has a spot for "up" to two G6 teams.
