Doubtful. Let's shoot for 115 or better. Unless we have some stud freshmen that haven't been playing, i can't see us getting under 100.

One step forward, two steps back is the old way.  Break the chain!  Hope our team (defense) uses the bye week to heal up, evaluate and make changes as needed.  Let the freshmen play!

I feel Jason Vaughn had a bigger impact that we thought, but Michael Williams seems to be getting his rhythm. I have no idea how the secondary can get better. I have no faith. The sad part about the 3rd downs we couldnt stop is that most of the plays were passes.

A great pass rush would help our DBs out tremendously.

Yea our DL could use some DE studs it would for sure help out the secondary.

This defense has to be rebuilt from lines out. The DL should be number one area to improve..that also is the hardest ones.  We just need to be best in this conference.

We are 7th in tackle for loss and have already surpassed our sacks from last year. Our pass rush is NOT the problem. Its the 125th ranked pass defense.

I think it is a little bit of both. We are definitely missing Vaughn and Gooden would add depth. What ever happened to the NC transfer that never played here?

If we go man against a dual threat qb, he'll run all over us.  It might work against a pocket passer.

Maybe so, but then you scheme to address that (disciplined rush lanes, keep a LB or S to spy, then have to tackle in space). But one thing we've seen is that scheming to stop them with zone has absolutely not worked. FAU's QB not only didn't feel the heat from the rush, but had wide open areas of the field to lob the ball into because DBs were slow to react to receivers in their quadrant.
