I would take my chances with an undefeated season. Assuming they keep the 12 team playoff. We have a good enough out of conference schedule.

An undefeated season in 2024 means wins over Alabama on the road and Miami at home. No way on god's green earth that USF wouldn't be the highest ranked G5 team and in the 12 team playoff.

That is a big if. I think we all would love to see it, but it is a very far stretch.

And 2025 we have Boise, Florida, and Miami. I know the playoff format could change then but there are certainly opportunities over the next few seasons to make a splash, not counting possible bowl upsets. 

The opportunity is there. We will see if we take it.
