Plus Army bring in more fans than SMU does. SMU fan support just flat out sucks. Sure they have donors but if is embarrassing to watch their home games with little fan support

and that still doesn't move the competition needle

There are a lot of "alumni" (veterans) of the military.  Lot's of eyeballs for the Commander's Cup and for Army v Navy every year.

Last year's viewership numbers by team put all the service academies higher than USF's by at least thirty positions.

I am not sure we need to be concerned about anyone else's value to a conference until we add some ourselves.

Michigan’s win over Ohio State was the most-watched regular-season college football game since 2011.

Ok, so we are adding them for viewership numbers.  Great, that's different than the competitiveness of the league.

And we absolutely better be concerned about the value a team being added to our conference brings.  Winning games and worrying about the conference your in becoming more watered down are not mutually exclusive.

Would suck to see an undefeated USF team get left out of the playoffs next season if the AAC is down.

Seriously this is where the AAC needs to invite Air Force for football only.

Hard to imagine an undefeated G5 that beats Bama in Tuscaloosa wouldn't somehow find its way into the playoffs ....

Yeah, that bias would be too obvious and would have to be dealt with.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
