How many people at Colorado are waking up this morning thinking we made a mistake we should have hired CAG? Neon took a 1-11 Colorado team playing in an empty stadium to a team competing to the wire against a national championship contender that has a Heisman trophy winning qb, in front of a packed home crowd, fox’s game day program and a national audience. We beat Navy, that’s not exactly the same thing but way better than things were.

I got one better. How many USF fans are walking around this morning thinking CJS & CWT had a major rebuild job at USF which required at least 3 seasons while CAG is doing it during his HC debut year?? Wow lol

I’ve always been firmly in the camp that when you are going the right direction in life that shows itself sooner than later and anyone that says they have to go backwards to go forwards or that you won’t see anything for years but then one day it’s going to miracle itself together is lying to you.

USF's Mount Rushmore might soon have a candidate for its second face.

I don't think anyone has said you HAVE to go backwards to go forward but it does happen ...

Like going from 2-10 to a NY6 Bowl? That does happen, too ......

Bottom line, both things can, and do, happen and it's not wrong for that to be pointed out ....

If examples stick out in your mind of something that speaks more to it never happening than it being a reasonably expected result (thousands of times people try to sell the snake oil that they are years into their way and for some reason things just haven’t started getting better yet but just keep the faith).

Nope, not on anything own 40 or less. Thats gonna bite him in the ass.

Other than that, do all the things crazy!

I'd be happier with midfield but could live with the occasional own 40.  Basically turned the ball over on first 2 possessions. One was on a player the other was on the coach.

Puc, I give you credit for already pointing this out years ago. I apologize because I was in the camp thinking our new coaching staffs need at least a few years. Now with the new era of college football where transfers are allowed to play earlier I believe new coaching staffs can win sooner which is good for everyone involved. Looks At Colorado & USF for examples.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
