Defense had looked solid in all 3 games. I've not felt like they were a liability. Once the offense catches up we'll have a legit team that turns the corner and starts beating people.

I'm thinking it was the coaching.  Remember last year guys were always out of position and didn't know what they were doing.  These guys have pride and DC is dialing up plays to help them.

Zero doubt that it was the coaching on the defensive side and not necessarily our talent level. Even when we were in close games in the last 3 years at no point did our defense look so dominant; let alone doing it against Alabama.

Watching this game makes me understand how Orlando was in the same position at  teams like USC before being at USF.

Don't forget the impact KP is having.  The Dline was disruptive.  #WarDaddies

We did give up 40ish to WKU and 24 to FAMU. Tonight was great  don't get me wrong. I didn't see this type of effort in the earlier games. Hopefully this continues for the rest of the season.

But defense is trending right direction.

We definitely have a solid run defense passing defense could still be an issue when we face a qb that's better than Bamas.

But they are definitely good enough to keep us in games unlike last years.

Give these defensive guys raises.  Retain until the stadium.

Fewest points against an Alabama unranked opponent since 2014.
