I wouldn't bank on that. Those power conferences barely gave into the spot already. Now they're going to renegotiate and try and keep the whole thing I'm sure just making it 4 conference champs (power conferences) + 8 at large probably. All of G5 cannot let that spot dissolve we currently have. Hopefully Cincy, UH, and even... central use their G5 sense and go to bat for everyone else having been here

Well . . . legally speaking, the American is the successor to the Big East as founded in 1979, so Big East Football was not killed off, it just became the quagmire of the AAC

Yeah but that would mean there should of been a P6 instead of P5. American Conference was a demotion from the BCS conference era
