Overall record of 45-74 is pathetic! Prefer Pat Kelsey, who has consistent track record of success! Yes and AAR coaches in a terrible conference. I should know since I am also a Stetson alum, and they play in the same conference.

And they got better each year he was there. That's not to say it's a slam dunk hire, I don't really know, but when you just look at overall record, it's not really indicative of where he has them now. That could also be a byproduct of starting with a young team and they're all seniors now, but I haven't looked at their roster to know that. I say make a play for Richey at Furman.

In his time he hasn’t improved any program overall. Coaches don’t even seem to want to come to USF. His searches seem chaotic and unguided. And he gives no confidence that based on his performance to date that he could handle a conference change or move. I also fear him being involved with the OCS.

The wife and I fly to Florence tomorrow. Florence is absolutely one of the most beautiful cities in the world. While you there I recommend the traditional Florence steak ( probably the best I ever had). Also a day trip to Cinque Terre, which a series of coastal towns about an hour or two from Florence, is a must when you are in that region. Hope you have a great time! Kennessaw State had never had a winning record in their programs history when he got there, and by year 4 he wins a conference championship and almost knocks off a 3 seed in the tourney. People see overall losing record and ignore the context of the situation. Taggart had a losing record here, but you'd be kidding yourself to pretend his tenure wasn't successful

He would be a good hire as they just played in March Madness! @79 Bull I prefer the 7 different topics re: Coaching Search as that is typical of this Message Board As I recall, he recently signed a 5 or 6 year extension (not at USF).
