I understand that Holtz didn't leave much for him to work with, but there was no excuse for how bad we were in his first two years. However he was a great recruiter, and when he was able to get things going we had some of the best years at USF. Overall he was a great hire. However, like our short tradition - the next hire wasn't able to follow through. In hindsight, hiring Strong after his Texas performance was bad move.
