Acquaintances with the Battie family - looking forward to following his progress at Auburn as I believe if Brian gets a shot, he's going to rocket up the draft board. However the last paragraph from Cadillac says it all. Williams can eat some **** and balls for all I care.

 

“He gets to come here and have an opportunity to define his role and play big-boy ball,” Williams said. “…I’m excited about Brian. I thank God for us having the opportunity to get him and him choosing Auburn.”

Not mad at him for trying to improve his future, but also dislike he told the fans he was staying then left. This will be the normal until we start winning against top 25 teams,  having  multiple winning seasons in a row, winning bowl games, hopefully finally  getting a conference championship, have a coach that can develop NFL talent again, and move up to a bigger conference. Back in the day when we had a good coach and in a power  conference we could take on Auburn and say we ain't scurrred . Now teams look at USF as a bye week and Golesh has to change this.

exactly. Going from a 1-11 G5 team to the SEC is fair to call it a graduation to big boy football

Was the comment untrue or unfair, probably not, but should he have said it, also: probably not. 

It will be real interesting to see what happens. If Brian goes and is a star at Auburn, then he probably made a good choice. If he get stuck behind other backs, then he probably made a bad choice. of course, there are other factors. 

Heck tailback 4 at Auburn may get $500,000 a year in NIL money (I am not saying he will be tailback 4, just an example)
