Acquaintances with the Battie family - looking forward to following his progress at Auburn as I believe if Brian gets a shot, he's going to rocket up the draft board. However the last paragraph from Cadillac says it all. Williams can eat some **** and balls for all I care.

“He gets to come here and have an opportunity to define his role and play big-boy ball,” Williams said. “…I’m excited about Brian. I thank God for us having the opportunity to get him and him choosing Auburn.”

Brian Battie was a 1,000-yard rusher for USF last season and a consensus All-American as a kick return specialist in 2021.

Somewhere Matt Grothe and other USF greats that beat Auburn are probably laughing at that statement by CW.

Hard to be mad at CW's when he isn't wrong. We haven't played big boy ball in a long F'ing time.

exactly. Going from a 1-11 G5 team to the SEC is fair to call it a graduation to big boy football

I am in the majority, team has been ass and we are not getting disrespected, we earn every bad thing said about us. I for one could give two violation if he is successful at his next stop, he is in the wind and part of our past that I would rather forget.

Was the comment untrue or unfair, probably not, but should he have said it, also: probably not.

It will be real interesting to see what happens. If Brian goes and is a star at Auburn, then he probably made a good choice. If he get stuck behind other backs, then he probably made a bad choice. of course, there are other factors.

Heck tailback 4 at Auburn may get $500,000 a year in NIL money (I am not saying he will be tailback 4, just an example)
