they grabbed the momentum early and never let go

Contrast that with our team that rolled out of bed in the first quarter. That's coaching and preparation. And a winning, aggressive mentality.

I'll say I think the paycheck to Athletics from B12 is attractive. I do genuinely like our conference for its destinations and potential ease of playoff spot, and the ACC. The idea if going to Lubbock to play 6-6 Texas Tech is fine but doesn't fire me up.

I doubt that. If Oklahoma State is offered by the SEC or Big 10 they are gone.

So basically you have no idea how GOR works.

Still seems like the CFP has been a crap product overall.  I hope the new model works out.

ACC will unfortunately get dissolved; our long-term chances lie with trying to reunite with former conference mates in an eastern B12 division. The B12 is viewed as stable because there are no tier 1 schools to lose, although ultimately I think OkSt goes SEC and Kansas possibly goes B1G.

The three things I'm most invested in are USF development, conference realignment, and recruiting. I've spent hours trying to make sense of conference realignment and feel like I have a decent understanding. Until the next round starts and it's nothing that I've predicted and I start from scratch.... Every time lol

EDIT: and beating the school to the east in every financial, athletic, and academic metric possible.

Look TCU had a great season and making it to championship game after beating Michigan was a great achievement for them and the Big12.

But the facts are that the SEC is the best conference and the Big10 joins them money wise and even though both Michigan and OSU lost they had half of the playoffs members these year.

The Big12 and PAC are below those two and so is the ACC that is stacked with a bad contract until 2036. Those three will fall further behind the top 2 as years go by.

The AAC will still be best place to be outside of those 5 and moving up should be our goal. Question will be whether we can step up and become a power in AAC to get attention for next moves.

The GOR; if that would limit a team from leaving; runs out in 2025. Is that correct? That's only 2 years from now. While I do not have a magic wand, in 5 years the BIg 12 will probably look much different then it is today.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
