One example to those who say that we aren't a basketball program so we should not expect to win or even be middle of the pack. FAU is 14-1 right now. If FAU can do it there is no reason we can't.

Its been a ongoing problem before Kelly was hired...USF athletics is just not good never has outside a few lucky hires.

Starts at the top...they don't take athletics serious...is why basketball has so few winning seasons in 30+ years.  Afraid football is on same path as basketball team is.

ACC invite

He has knocked down one of those with the IPF becoming a reality. Next up the OCS and then a spot in the 12 team playoffs. Then the ACC invite…

Clearly we just need an on campus basketball court to help with student turnout and then the wins will follow.

Oh wait...

Btw our new rival in the new AAC currently looks like this in men's bball:

 

So no pressure but we should reaaaaallllly try to turn this franchise around within a year.

FAU is increasing their revenue joining the AAC and already has an OCS.   They recently hired Tom Herman to lead the football program and their BB team is 14-1.  If we don't get our **** together, FAU leave us in their rearview mirror much like Oviedo.

unless your hiring a big time coach it will probably be the same crap, some assistant with no head coach experience.

We still have a dearth of talent, but we also have no idea as a coaching staff how to get the ball in the hands of the right guys to close out a game, when to call a timeout to change momentum, etc. That’s where we now find ourselves. We should have been able to close this one out today. We had a shot to close out Memphis and couldn’t handle the press. We were in it late against Temple and get a ridiculous 5-second call on an inbounds play right in front of our own bench. Even today, why is Harris going for a two when we’re down three with 15 seconds left - and it was no ad lib, it was clearly designed that way. We’re trying to get TWO possessions and score TWICE in 15 seconds? Really?

What is Reggie Kohn up to these days? Last I heard he was coaching high school basketball.
