A Jamey Chadwell hire does nothing for us in the short term. He doesn't bring any immediate recruiting, donor, or season-ticket buzz. He brings an offensive mind to a team that is already averaging 30 points per game against better competition than any he faced. I'm not saying he couldn't be the right choice over time, but I think the NOW is more important than the DOWN THE ROAD for this program at this point in its history. I'll welcome him with open arms, but it won't move the needle at all for 2023.

This is where I am at. To me it is Deion or Leavitt and no one else should really be considered. We need the fans and the donors back immediately.

It's going to take at least two years of recruiting to rebuild USF football, regardless of who the coach is. It's already bad enough; now take into account players like Grier, Horn (likely), and Battie (maybe) transferring out and Boyles graduating.

Better settle in.

**** this is gonna suck lol. Us USF fans have been waiting too long. At least CWT got us there eventually unlike Scott lol

Nah definitely not Leavitt. I don’t think he would be so happy on Twitter posting about Christmas & all lol

If it is not Deion and Chadwell is the guy.  Wonder if he would hire Leavitt to coach defense? And would Leavitt even consider such a offering??

Yes but as we have seen recently, defense is where our big issues lies. CC has outscored people as long as they had their QB but their defense was never good

Some people were pointing out that he wasn't successful without a great QB. Just pointing out that won't be an issue. The defense is a different discussion.

Hypothetically,

What if it wasn't up to who USF athletics wants but rather Deion says, "no thanks, yall are small time, and I want a legit P5 offer, see ya" and Leavitt says, "no thanks, this institution ruined my name and took away my joy in life; thus I never want to coach there again."

What do we do then? Might this be the current situation?
