I guess I need to say that again.. We are in preeminent academic where the recruits need to meet 11 out of 12 benchmarks..

Insufficient of juco can meet 11 of 12.

Transfer portal? yes but are they good enough?  More likely not..

Can D. Sanders bring enough 4* who want to play for G5?

If not, can he elevate the 2* or 3* skills like what Leavitt did?

I prefer we find a HC who can elevate skills and be a Bull for long time!

Good points. But I would not worry about the G5 vs P5 now since there will be a 12 team playoff that should include G5 too.

You’d rather have a semi-retired 65 year old Leavitt than the hottest coaching candidate in college football, who is undefeated this year - 25-5 overall, and who got a 5 star recruit to an FCS school? Look I get the love for nostalgia  and the respect for CJL for the past, but Deion would launch USF to the stratosphere.

One coach has many top 25 wins vs FBS while the other coach does not.

Odd analysis. Do we need a bunch of 4 stars to win in the new AAC? If yes, is there a better coach who can do that? I know you're just relaying 620s analysis but it just doesn't make any sense.

I guess in conclusion the best and safest  pick to be head coach at USF is non other that Leavitt. This will kind of like what Disney did by bringing back their good CEO.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
