What about Tom Herman?

Curious about you alls thoughts about Tom Herman as Head Coach.

He won at Houston but did not win enough at Texas.  Was the OC at Ohio State during Urban Meyers tenure.  

With him I would want to see a solid DC hire.

I think he could succeed here in the new AAC. I just don't think he will stay if he has one or two good seasons.

Maybe but didn't we try this with Strong? Killed it at UL and fizzled out at texas? Houston was already winning when Herman came in. His best season as a HC was literally just that first season with UH so there's no evidence he himself can recruit and coach up through a full class cycle to success.

That's kind of debatable. His second year at UT, 10-4 (7-2) with a BCS bowl win, considering the competition, could also be classified as his best ...... and there's little comparison to Chuck, imo. Strong sucked at Texas, going 16-21 (12-15), while Herman went 31-18 (22-13). Frost is a lot more Chuck-like than TH.
