Probably better than the last HC.

Gruden would give USF coverage in the press.   However, he never really developed a QB in the pros, so would anyone expect him to do that in college?   I always got a kick out of ESPN showing him talking to college QBs as if he knew anything about developing a top QB draft pick.   🙄

Seems to me that JG's success has come from being handed a 99% firing-on-all-cylinders professional team where he just had to make a few tweaks.  When it comes to building from the ground up, haven't seen it. He never coached in college; he was a graduate assistant or position coach. He's never been a head college at the collegiate level. I fear we may be conflating celebrity and capability.

I’d be willing to give him a try. I bet we would get recruits we couldn’t sniff before.

I would take Leavitt but one guy I like that no one seems to be promoting is Coastal Carolina's coach but I am weary of any Carolina coach after Holtz and Scott.

So maybe we can convince him to run for a political office instead of USF Coach,

So we want to hire a coach with no college head coach experience and no recruiting experience...what could go wrong.

Think Prime Time fit that description before his first gig.

I think Prime Time has a little better pull for recruits then Gruden/

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
