Here's an article from the covid season.  Assume it's still a thing...

The most unheralded guys on the roster have evolved into the most valuable ones at practice.

Great find. The reason I had brought it up is because this guy's friend's kid is on the scout team as a WR and is blowing by our CBs in practice.  I wanted to be sure there really was such a thing as a scout team before believing he could get by the CBs.

Several times a game the opposing teams WR doesn’t even have to get by a CB…because of blown coverages. I’m not putting 100% or the blame on the players. From what I’ve heard the players are upset that it take the DC so long to get plays in. You can see it during the games. A lot of times they are looking at the sideline while the ball is being snapped.

Okay so this prediction is still live.

And looking a bit more realistic.

This team that came today, even with the mistakes that were made, could win next week against Tulane.

I think so too but Louisville and ECU has me cautiously optimistic

This would be the most epic recovery.

Jeff Scott will not be fired.  He is here through 2023

I agree. I am beginning to think he and Kelly will use the injuries excuse to sell the fanbase on Scott coming back for Year 4.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
