Losing is not a tradition people will take part in.  Losing in the next iteration of the AAC will kill the program.  Why risk that type of financial ruin when absolutely 0 conferences above us have invited perennial losers with no history to the table?

Look, this year the sell job for USF to upper conferences was supposed to be "We can turn the corner on and off the field.  We're investing in ourselves with facilities and finally winning meaningful games".  Great pitch but we just face-planted right outta the gate on the game day results.  If the losses continue this year, why would an inferior stadium (compared to RayJay) make a difference next year or the year after?  Coaches are now saying NIL is #1 most important thing for recruiting.  Shouldn't we should invest in that, the football center/IPF, and better coaches?  Instead we're putting all our chips in a basket that's already falling apart.

True we should maybe beat a team first or have an offense and defense installed before we dream of playoffs.

More like ~40 Million per year for Big 12 is just slightly better than our ~8 million.  It's just money right.  We will make more.

Most importantly our coach is one of the ones saying that it is the most important thing and if anyone thinks critically about it it’s the only thing that makes sense. Who is going to take a free job because you have an office in a building that the company owns instead of taking a $50k job that has an office in a leased space? Why would anyone care about that at all? (Is it nicer? Nope. Do you get money from it? Nope but hey don’t you care that we own it? Nope how does that impact me?)Like Lane said building facilities is a waste of time and money if you aren’t paying enough NIL money. An OCS is a reactionary decision meant to mask short comings and failure rather than the visionary approach we need to be taking with the changing climate. New stadiums make people excited for about a year, that money in nil makes people excited immediately and has a direct impact to changing the program. Building an OCS at this time only cements that no one in athletics has any idea about what they are doing and are just guessing on what to do next.

For all the people with the pitch forks and wanting the current coaching staff fired the OCS will help attract good coaches in the long run. So either argument the OCS is needed.
