I understand your feelings, but the bigger picture is more than a place to play football. Remember, an OCS impacts current students experiences and alumni’s connection to the school. Traditions help foster school pride and an enlarged donor ship; the OCS is an investment of the future of the school itself, not just sports. I totally get all of that and I’ve been one of the most vocal supporters of an OCS but without the revenues from a p5 conference I don’t know if it’s such a wise investment.
