College football finally wakes up. Now this will increase fan interest for more schools which is a great thing.

Pretty good scenario for us and the rest of the FBS schools not getting locked out. Hopefully this starts to level out the talent across CFB.

I’m serious feeling a lot better about USF’s football future now with the 12 team playoff. We either will be in ACC or Big 12 batting it out for that playoff spot or still in AAC hopefully being one of the 6th best conferences to get that Cinderella spot. The College Football Gods have answered our prayers!!

This was the best possible scenario for USF, and college football as a whole. All teams now truly have a chance to make it into the playoffs. Now, maybe let's win a few conference championships...

For USF and the other "G5" conferences, the OOC games will be important.  For example, 12-1 USF vs 12-1 Fresno State will depend in a large part on each school's OOC to get ranked higher.  Imagine going 13-0 while the MWC champ goes 12-1 and is ranked higher because their OOC were 3 or 4 P5 schools.

So does this mean P5 schools will now want to play the group of others? Seems just a year ago we were afraid there would be no P5 games to be had.

Not really... and it may be harder if they go to 9 or even 10 conference games.
