Think this guy will be just as valuable as most our transfers. Shoop seems like the kind of guy who can take advantage of an athletic freak, hoping for a Jamie Byrd 2015 type year out of Jones

The loss of Jones right before the season was devastating. More so than I think we really appreciated. It forced guys into PT that weren't ready (Hill). Now, with Jones back, we are going to reap the benefits.

We can hope. Many of the transfers have already flamed out or have not turned into quality players especially on defense due to various issues such as injuries, bad coaching, and  bad defensive schemes. We hope Shoop coaches them up and they are more successful  in his 5 2 2 system.  He seems to have a lot of athletic abilities and hopefully he Is a key piece in improving this secondary.

BYU has a couple of shaky receivers potentially coming in.  Hmm...  🤔

I've said this before & i'll say it again, will jones may very well end up being the glue that keeps together the secondary, a reason the defense can take away longer passing plays and force more short passes.

the experience is very much needed in this position!

I could see Will up for consideration in the better tiers of the NFL draft if he has a consistent season.
