read option, GB keeps it and throws for a 7 yard gain to weaver, who is immediately tackled at the feet and has no room to run. spoiler alert, a punt will ensue 3 plays later & I will be grabbing another beer at that point 🤣;)

make it two beers if there is a false start or a holding on the first play

edit: will need more than that....

The first and last plays of the game were HB Dives.

The ghost of Sterlin Gilbert's playbook.

To say that I was disappointed with the first few offensive series would be an understatement

We bring in all this transfer talent, hype up the OC, talk about changes . . . then do not get a first down or show any creativity until the 5th series when we were down 28-0

I am pretty sure that GB was not put into a full drop back until maybe the third series and he did not run until the 5th

I am guessing that Trickett put together the offensive game plan (along with guidance from Scott) - if so, they need to both rethink their strategy going forward

Probably the most upsetting thing about this game.

OC was way to conservative and DC not very aggressive despite they were constantly preaching that to the media and fans this summer.

To be fair, when USF blitzed the BYU QB was 12/15.  So the DC called blitzes, but BYU used a lot of two-tight end sets - seven people blocking.

Did Sterlin also bubble screen constantly or was that the Skip Holtz era?  I can't keep track...
