If we beat BYU and UF, I bet we go into week 4 as the #25 team.

Probably not.  BYU is ranked #25 but Florida is barely getting votes now and will likely be 0-2.  USF at 3-0 would be among the "Also receiving votes" list.  Even if USF gets to 4-0, that likely means beating just one ranked team (BYU), since L'ville is getting as many votes as USF right now... and L'vill likely will be 1-2 coming off losses to UCF and Florida State.

BYU has Baylor and Oregon after they face us. If they were to win both of those games, there is a chance that USF would be ranked as well, but would likely be just outside of the top 25. If USF is 4-0 and BYU is 3-1 or even 2-2, I would fully expect USF to be ranked in the top 25. The media will love the Gerry story and be able to tout him turning around 2 floundering programs. Storylines matter.

You're joking right?  I would be shocked if they lose both these games.  They have possibly the best QB in the ACC.

I see them losing to UCF, not so much FSU

Speaking of preseason AP polls, USF is on this list (in the Others Receiving Votes). That Top 25 should be the new P1 conference. Oops, wrong thread... 😁🤘
