Another thread that devolves into doom and gloom for USF posts.

Time to take another break from this board.

Ill return when we start winning and same posters will be worrying about losing our coach.

So this means USF should get around $5.6 mil from the departures. I wonder what we will spend it on?

My friend, I will gladly take that $5.6 million and keep it moving. In life you play the hand that you are dealt. At this point here are the next steps for us -

1. Use that 5.6 million wisely

2. Finish the IPF

3. Kick a$$ and win games. Especially  a$$es of all the new teams coming to the AAC.

4. Build stadium

5. Either join the P5 or make the playoffs through the expanded playoffs system. Or we can do like Cinci and make the playoffs in the current system.

6. Win a National Championship

7. repeat 3, 5 & 6

Go mufuggin Bulls!!!!  :04-rock:

I've been saying it for a year now. Shut the program down.

We tried. We failed. No need to invest more into a sunk cost

Don’t be a little quitter…there is still time to turn it around. But for sure we cannot afford any set backs or mistakes.

Number 3 is obviously the most important. I do think the playoffs will expand to include a G5 and I also think there will be a conference explosion on the scale not seen before. Not sure if it puts us in a P5 as this will probably be reduced to a P3…but will be a better situation. That money that we will get will be paid out in so many years I don’t know if we’re going to see a big difference. Of course, we could always borrow from it.

And this right here is why I am so nervous about Jeff Scott being in charge.

If you have given up and think this program should just be shut down, then why continue to be a fan? Why even bother going to the USF blogs? Just move on buddy. Plenty of other programs you can enjoy that are already having success. If this has been your position for the past year, why are you still here? Or you can just place your "fandom" into hibernation and come back out when we start winning. Save yourself the wasted time being a fan of this sinking ship.

I'm not paying close attention but is that over the 14 or whatever years?

I think the future is bright especially if Scott continues to bring in decent recruits and transfers. Superior talent on the field more often than not will overcome bad coaching. I like that Jeff Scott appears to be willing to focus on recruiting. He still has to learn to coach but that will come.
