In hockey terms he either had a lower body injury or an upper body injury.  😁

☺️ Too bad.  Hopefully he recovers.  Spring hill doesn't produce a whole lot of athletes.  I think Huey Whittaker attended this high school (Springstead) also, back in the day.

It wasn't just pitchers getting injured. Fielding needs improvement too. Too many unforced errors. I realize we've got a young team but this has been an issue for more than few seasons under Mohl.

They've gone t0 the NCAA tournament 4 out of past 7 years.  Won the conference and NCAA regional last year.  And they were competitive this year, just not competitive enough to make it back to the NCAAs

Jasiak going down was huge.  Other pitchers were nicked up at times as well.

And they've also had 3 consecutive losing conference records.  Aside from the beginning of the season I don't see how you can make any justification that we were competitive this year, at least as a whole.  What did we have, 2 series wins and 0 sweeps?  That's inexcusable.  Losing our ace sucks and would be a blow for any team, but don't pretend for a second that we're improving under Mohl.  Last season was huge winning our first regional, but what happened after that? A really bad follow up.  Now, we do have a good recruiting class coming in so not all hope is lost, but for a coach this far along in his tenure, we need to be a consistent threat and we're simply not. There's no reason we shouldn't have had a winning record this year, and the only reason we had one last year is because of how long our post season play lasted.

They should be better than that…almost every year should be an ncaa year. Also, coming in last any year is simply embarrassing.

Some people would say 4 out of 7 is almost every year.  But I can't comprehend how we can't be competitive every year.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
