We're stacking the roster with players, who for the most part, did not do much in the way of contributing to their previous team. We're hoping and praying it's because they weren't given a real chance and all they need to excel is that chance here ..... but it's not a given they will (See MBB, USF).

Yes the portal is open to fans, I was briefly a Memphis fan at the start of the season, but it wasn’t a good fit, so back to the portal I go, may need to drop down to JUCO and get my mind right.

I am not going that far but only a fool would not believe that a 6 win season is quiet possible.

Serious question, do you think CJS had/has to learn how to coach 2&3* players as opposed to coaching 4&5* players?

Negative, he has to learn how to coach in general.  But to an extent, yes.  We have had very little talent and depth.  The good news is, I don't remember Strong doing much of anything let alone recruiting.  At least CJS is out there busting his ass to get some momentum and players excited to come here.

He needs to learn to develop players, find and evaluate qualified coordinators that run schemes  to fit his players, play calling, game management, and recruit better.  He never was the oc at Clemson so he never was in charge of the whole offense. He was a glorified position coach and in charge of calling plays or  building an offense.  He took a huge step up and needs to learn a lot on the job to be successful. Let's hope he figures it out this season. He does seem to care and is doing his best to sell usf to recruits and fans.

That is a fair question. The issues of coaching up a player comes into play here. Certainly, he has noticed the level of quality is different…and this is where a quality assistant coaching staff comes into play.
