We lost the aac tournament.  That's the one that matters.  Zero independent teams made the tourney

Yeah, while I truly don't give a FF, I don't think you can beat your chest about USF being AAU and being attractive to Big Boy conferences and not really care what other programs think of you.

The narrative has, expectedly with puc involved, shifted a bit over the simplistic assertion CR made about the hoops season .... nothing about opportunites and money or being attractive:

If just FSU and Clemson bolt I think USF is a shoo-in.

No one's saying be independent in basketball. You can be independent in football and find a basketball conference. 

I don't think the big east would consider us for a second, we'd be looking lower for our non football sports, but it'd be worth it. You can win a **** basketball conference and make the tournament. There are plenty of power basketball programs in mid major or lower conferences. 

 

The important thing is getting out of the AAC
