What games will ESPN be broadcasting in the 10pm or later time slot going forward? Utah vs. Iowa State?

Who did they lose?

USC/UCLA were gone.

ESPN would have had to pay Oregon+Washington as much as Big 10 offered in order to keep pac afloat which meant they would have had to pay oregon state and washington state(and everybody else) the same amount.

So they only lost 4 programs.(2 of which were already gone)

I believe the others that left for big 12 will still be under espn

not to mention all the other teams on the west coast(SDSU Boise State etc). they can even get the leftover 4 at a huge discount if they want.

Obviously they didn't think it was worth overpaying for what was left after USC/UCLA left.

the market for live sports has changed drastically. ESPN profits are declining. Bally's is in bankruptcy. The live sports bubble is popping. There will be consolidation so the dead weight can be cut.

This is the part that's gotten to me. Basically college football is dead to me if it doesn't involve USF, wherever we end up ....

Always has been for me.  USF is all I care about.  When they are done, so am I. No doubt.

My point is that FOX/NBC/CBS has totally froze  ESPN out of late night games. Ohio State going to Oregon or Washington will have much more viewers than ESPN can put on at the same time.

He could have honestly have wanted to stay in the PAC at that time but then when that conference is over you need to pivot. Being a part of the conversation and having open conversations with what makes up the components of your program is never a bad look, being an invisible nonentity when that’s never actually paid off is. Honestly I don’t even get what that article is trying to paint as negative, it seems like someone staying on top of things and adapting to an ever changing landscape.

4000 or bust.   ACC will try and not make a move.  Call Pitt and get them to blow things up.

They haven't though. ESPN has plenty of west coast programs. They only lost 4.

they weren't going to save pac 12 just to get Oregon and Washington. Didn't make financial sense.

Essentially the Big (Fox) took the 4 best Pac teams (USC,UCLA,Oregon<Wash)

ESPN took the middle 4 with the Big 12

the bottom 4 are up for grabs if anybody wants them.

If ESPN wanted the top 4 programs from Pac they would have had to buy the entire conference or move them to SEC, which would have been almost impossible.

USC/UCLA/ORG/Wash were not going to go to the Big 12.
