ACC we will most likely not know anything until closer to 2036. ND may stay quiet until then. Correct. There are a few things that will happen very soon that would give us an idea on what will be next. 1. BigTen contract. How big is the money gap between it and the ACC. How many networks get a piece of it. 2. The PAC tv negotiations. Do they sign it and stick together, do they add anyone, is it so bad that schools lose to Big12 and how much they get from it. 4. The Big12 tv contract negotiations should start next year, how much difference from the PAC amount, would adding schools increase their payout, how many networks will bid on it. 5. If the BT and SEC amounts are as big a difference as we all see with ACC, what does ACC does about it? Do teams find a way to break GOR and move out?, Do they go to unbalanced payouts?, do they look into adding anyone? Those are all scenarios that would affect USF and realignment. I still think for USF moving from AAC, Big12 still is more likely move than ACC. But who knows how the wheels will turn and USF has to do all it can do to be ready for any moves.

Miami is a private university with a small enrollment. In addition, they haven't exactly been lighting it up in quite a while. I believe USF has more appeal long term that Miami. Especially if we get AAU status.

Especially if we get AAU status. Miami has a larger endowment and does more research than USF. The only issue is because of their size they have far fewer doctoral students and distinguished faculty... Miami fits the mold of Notre Dame and Northwestern (academically).
