But won't happen.  Apparently they are having final meetings this week with the remaining candidates/contenders/bachelors/ tributes.

I can't believe Rice is still in the mix but Memphis got cut.  I would have cut Tulane and Rice before Memphis.

Both way better academically then Memphis. Both markets aren't bad either.

Memphis has themselves to blame with the poor academics. The presidents of the universities want schools with higher standards. I think we are in pretty good shape in regards to academics as well as having one of the best media markets available.

Seems like they're casting a wide net for just two spots (most recent reports said they were going to trim the list down to two). Holding out hope they're seriously considering four, because that's still our best chance IMHO.

If they don't go with 4 and pick the Florida markets, they have horrible leadership.
