They have in the past Well, I guess…I think the devil is in the details here. How do we define the “fans are coming out?” There always seems to be a stipulation with our fan base: no Thursday night games, no 12:00 games, must have good competition, etc. Is the number 30,000? 40,000? 50,000? I guess if we go with the 30,000 you are probably correct. Edited October 3, 2021 by NewEnglandBull

I think that is very good for a G5 program. And unfortunately that 2018 finished poorly (that was the losing finish I believe) and it's been downhill from there

I still think we have to get out of that enormous stadium however.

When a team wins, people travel 1200 miles to see them play.

Thus, it is probably the wrong time to be talking about this.

Agree that losing plays a part but we only drew 26K for a Thursday night game in 2017 with an 8-1 record and one of the most dynamic players in our history.

I’d also argue more than half of the fan base was pared by then. 27K out of probably 30K is good. If you were expecting a WVU-like attendance, those days are gone (for now). But we need to move on. Besides, I don’t think a lower attendance on a Thursday night game indicates much of anything. Many people don’t find that a good day for tailgating, getting out of work or staying out late. We’re never going to have mind control over Bulls fans to convince them a Thursday is like a Saturday. That’s probably true of most programs.
