Getting pummeled by a pretty good team in a coach's true first year and first game of the season probably wouldn't be such a big deal if it wasn't joined by the news of the Big12 passing on USF and fans weren't already so jaded by the pandemic season and the dumbdemic overseen by Charlie Strong.  It's a coalescing of just a lot of bad news and bad feelings about this athletic program and its direction. I'm sure people will move on in different ways.

You've been very philosophic here lately ...... pretty well put.

Watching the Clemson game, hoping to see how the offense was supposed to look.

Step one get 5 star athletes, we never get to step two for obvious reasons

Yeah, and I have got to be more obvious with my sarcasm, but I like it subtle.

So what are the odds CJS is watching his beloved Clemson right now instead of prepping for Florida?

First, don't let Trevor Lawrence graduate.

I'm sick of saying the same 4 top teams every year.  It's so boring.

I was never enthusiastic about the hire but talk of firing him (while therapeutic in this worst timeline we now live in) is just insane.  There's a reason we're being left behind in the next realignment and it's not because Scott sucked for 9 games.

We have had a huge leadership problem on the football front for over a decade now, and the biggest issue to me is that there was no investment.

Freaking FAU was opening a stadium in 2007, AGAINST US, and 14 years later we have nothing new.

UCF has an IPF and a joke of a stadium but, its a selling point for game day on campus atmosphere.  Meanwhile I'm parking at HCC to walk a mile to the Bucs front door.

Even FIU has a stadium.

I mean all of this happened in clear view of the public.  It wasn't a secret every other team in Florida was improving their sales pitch to bigger conferences and better recruits .  Yet here we are, groggily opening our eyes like we were asleep for a decade, blaming a coach, AGAIN.  We have done jack crap to better the football product and that's what we're getting.

So go ahead, fire Scott and be astonished when this happens again in 3 years with a new coach.  I'm sure the three or four extra wins he may net will be worth another few years of paying an ex coach.

EPIC post!

I definitely picked up what you were throwing down unfortunately our current success makes me think our current coach thought that was actually happening

It’s not it’s year 2 and people only say that because there is nothing redeeming this squad has produced. Others faced adversity and succeeded and no one argues that their success didn’t count only losers in need of an excuse grasp at the the straws that it’s not their fault that they couldn’t navigate the waters they are in.

The great Puc has spoken.  I disagree with your argument.  New coach had zero spring 2020 practice or interaction with players.  Fall 2020 rules were put in place that limited the spread of Covid and at times he had 65 players available for a game.  Ok that was a typical year one.
