Ranked around 60 I believe. They looked okay. We looked like doo doo today.

Doo doo happens

The last 15 minutes or so of the UF game wasn't particularly impressive.  I know UF was in full out press mode but still.

I watched some of this game and the UNF game, and was hoping for better. LSU was dominant, and UNF is terrible, but still we still couldn't put them away until a fortune penalty call inside the box.

Defense is really bad, mid fielders don't move off of the ball much, that the forwards aren't making any runs for through balls. The goalkeeper was the only reason LSU didn't blow them out. This team just seemed to have been overrated.

I am not an expert in soccer but those seem apparent even to me.  But, then, if it was for the Gator keeper's crazy good play we would have hung 5 more goals on them.

I'll take another lifetime off.

I couldn't understand how they kicked the ball in the middle of the field in front of the goal and our girl just watched.  Has to be an effort to defend.  Horrible.  I'd run her until she puked.

I was a high school and college soccer referee for many years, watched a LOT of soccer. Bay Island Bulls is on the money, without a dominant defense even a team with a good  offense has a difficult time winning. We had neither, at least for this match. I won’t even talk about our midfield play, it was pathetic. The goalkeeper is the best player on the team, to bad she doesn’t get a better defensive effort. Luckily, we play in conference not known for women’s soccer, so there’s that.

If anyone saw last year's tournament, you would know that there were only 2 undefeated teams in the tournament and we were one of them.

A single loss in the season is no reason to throw the team away.  A loss early in the season will probably motivate this team for the rest of the season.  The play of our starters over the past 3 games will definitely show the coach what areas we need to work on.

I'm not worried about this team and as far as rankings, we have a very strong team, with lots of experience.  Wouldn't you rather have a team on a 10 game or 15 game win streak heading into the conference and ncaa tournaments than a team with a few losses sprinkled throughout the schedule?
