So, UCF ends up with the best matchup because of the Memphis upset. Of course. Their deal with the devil continues.

I am all for making that same deal at this point.

That deal obviously involved human sacrifice ....... Let's wait a little longer before going down that road ...... unless we have a volunteer.

One of the cool things about baseball is that thee guys can be nowhere one year and become MLB draft material the next. Believe it or not, this is Logan Lyle's 3rd year here, his first year he was middle relief, showing nothing of the season that was to come with 39.2IP, 43k @ a 5.45 ERA, Last year in the COVID shortened season he had 8IP, 8 K @ a 5.63ERA, nothing special, nothing to predict that this year he would become basically unhittable, 37IP, 39k and a 0.973 ERA. One thing that Lyle did show throughout his career is his command and strikeout ability, his k/BB ratio for his three years is 2.4, 2.7, 2.7.

Being a 23 year old RS Senior is going to severely hurt his draft position.

True, very true, but he will be drafted and that will keep him from coming back next year....I'm always looking through my green and gold tinted glasses

If he is drafted, he will have no choice but to go pro at that age.    He has done a nice job of developing over the years.   He could make some coin out of a professional bullpen.  Kudos to the staff

Definitely key. If they can stay in the winner’s bracket for a few more games, they’ve got a good shot at winning the tournament.

Yep, I really believe if they keep winning then they will win the Championship however if they lose more than one than they are toast.  I hope they win and not lose. I am glad I got to contribute some value to the thread as well.

I've been watching college baseball for a long time and I can say with certainty, the key to winning any double elimination tournament is avoiding that second loss.
