I have supported USF Athletics since I enrolled in 1978, I was part of the group that tried to bring football to USF back in 1981. I continue to support USF Athletics with donations, football season tickets etc. All of that even-though for most years I think Athletics overall has underperformed, I’m not even comparing us to the Power Conferences, just look around we are mostly lower end in our own conference in most sports. We have been passed by UCF, which as much as I dislike seems to move faster in Athletic moves and expect better results from their coaches. All we keep hearing is the potential we have, yes fan base had unrealistic expectations back in the Big East years when we were going up and up. But the fan base financial support was very thin and collapsed as we dropped out of BE and went into a football tail spin.

I will continue to support USF Athletics, but I will continue to demand and expect better results. As I said we should be in top quarter of the AAC in every sport, anything short of that is failure.

It’s the kind of thinking by bjef4844 that has put us in this position. Looking for excuses and blindly accepting a terrible product.

I was talking with another Iron Bull recently and he's a huge baskets fan and has football season tickets.  I don't know if USF is his Alma Mater.  But he is getting tired of the mediocrity in MBB and football.  We need to get better sooner rather than later.  Being a college fan is a bit different than being a pro sports fan. You aren't expected to make contributions to a pro team.  College sports need financial support so eventually, in my case, I'd like to be entertained. A basketball team that can't score 60 points isn't fun to watch. A football team that struggles offensively isn't fun to watch. I can live with a loss if we score and get outscored. I get frustrated as heck when, once a team falls behind, you know there is no chance of winning because you know we can't score enough points.

Meh, Ditka quit on the team. Will, and the Eye-talians, brought home the trophy.

Who brought the eye-talians? Case closed! 😂

I wonder how long Brad will want to keep this board going for the 15 of us who are still on it. Sad times indeed.

This is definitely food for thought ....

Either that or this is an inside Athletics Department person looking for love that is not here...or it’s the return of Brybull with a new schtick.

He is definitely a schill for the USF Athletic department at the very least

There is no way USF athletic would make that much effort to try to win over fans.

I'm just trying to be positive. I understand the frustration - losing is never fun. But if our leaders fail I want to know we at least gave them our full support.
