Why?   They were talking about the perfect year for an 8 team playoff the other day.  If Cinci couldn't beat the 4th best team in the SEC, what do you think would have happened against Alabama?

Cincy was shut out the last 29 minutes of the ball game. Won’t win many doing that

They got the 4 teams right but they screwed up with ranking after...Iowa State?

That was a pure choke job by Cincy. Terrible play calling in the 2nd half.

What were they supposed to do?  Reality set in and UGA's defense dominated the 2nd half except for the long TD run.  Really Cinci didn't do a ton offensively in the first half.  If UGA has an offense, it's a blowout

They should have run the ball much more than they did. I saw on line that they ran 30 percent less. Yes GA defense is top 10 so I get what you are saying. Finally, 4th and 2. You run it, take 29 seconds off call TO. Punt the ball. UGA has 45 seconds left. That extra 30 seconds killed them in the end.

Who said they would have played Alabama. Take the same matchups but as quarterfinals games.
