You are just now realizing this? The drop from P5 to be P6 is so astronomical it’s almost as if the P6 isn’t a real thing.

If true then Aresco needs to push for a raise now that contracts are being renegotiated.

Why would ESPN feel the need to give us a raise when we just locked ourselves in long term and no one else was beating down our doors to give us real money?

Of course I always knew it...but the distance just became another percentage higher and the jump is big. The SEC is actually starting to leave the other P5 programs in the dust.

I’m pretty sure the Big 10 will be just fine

My only hope is football gets shut down due to the dangers of CTE.  If we can’t compete then eff them all.  Watching the top SEC teams this year it appears they are already leaving the other teams in the dust.

Doesn’t work that way. None of the other P5 conferences want to fall too far behind. Impact on recruiting (more $ for more infrastructure) and perception will make them consider other options...maybe expand within the current G5 conferences. Texas could say screw it and go indy and they have the muscle to pull it off.

So how many espn staffers will they need to lay off this time?

Also, it looks like some prime time spots have just opened up. Aresco better be on the **** phone

Looks like the bottom tier of the SEC will be on espn+ like the rest of us lost souls.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
