He will certainly help with spacing. He looks like a true stretch 4 where he can stay out near the perimeter. I can't recall when USF would have had a similar type player. (Dobras?)

Toarlyn Fitzpatrick and Gus Gilchrist both could shoot the 3.

BB Waldon had a decent outside presence as well. One of the highest 3-PT % in program history.

When I hear his name I just don’t get the warm fuzzies like I do for Dobras, Fitzpatrick, and Gilchrist.

Dobras was the point guard 2 guard back in the day

He was a guard? Was before my time as a Bulls fan so never saw him play.  I see him at MBB games and he's really tall.  Looks like a forward.

Can he knock down a mid-range jumper a la Fred Lewis? Or is he drive it to the basket player like most on this team or is he a glass cleaner like Vakidis? The lack of diversified skill set on this is apparent with Yetna out.

Yetna is/was our most complete player. Could shoot the 3 good enough. Is a decent free throw shooter. Can clean the glass with the best of them. Can hit that 15 footer from the elbow zone buster. Was okay driving to the hoop.

We need 6 players to combine to do all of the things he could do.

Dobras played the majority of his USF career at point guard - a 6-7 point guard

I honestly thought before the injury he could have been a lottery pick.

Injury cost him for sure. I don't know if he was a lottery pick, but he was a first rounder in my opinion.

BB was a bit of an enigma, but I have one lasting memory of him that said a lot. I was at the conference tournament his senior year when USF was eliminated from the league tournament. All of the boosters that traveled were in the USF hospitality suite at the hotel, licking our wounds, when BB walked in and came to each of us to thank us for being behind him and the team during his four years. I thought it was a really classy move.

That's amazing.  Had no idea.
