I heard that he was old school and didn’t have any fu or confidence. Was negative and players never knew what what going on with schedules changing all the time.

Saw some guys tweeting about him earlier.

Only 3 years? We're 20+ years in legitimately only "competed" for a division title one time in Orlando 2 years ago.

God that loss at Temple and that TD return at ucf...killers...figured we would have got one of those games.

Good point about the offensive line. This is a portal and recruiting must. It was just awful this year. There just was not enough protection to evaluate the offense (including McCloud).

Yeah oline was hidden because of flowers. Some games we couldn’t even block for quick throws. I think Jennings getting hurt really messed us up we absolutely don’t have any back ups that should even touch the field because none could bear out billy or Marcus. Plus Cronkite didn’t play 2 of last 4 games. Billy is gone and Marcus gone. Obviously recruiting at oline has to be way better. Memphis and ucf Get jucos and transfers out of state on oline. This year since Kb has gotten here we have offered a lot more juco lineman. Obviously by the recruits Kb wants more athletic players than just big guys that can’t move.

I'm not a guy in the know and have only 1 contact inside the program and that was a multi-year starter who played for both xCWT and xCCS. He never said any of that. Basically said what everyone on the outside says. xCCS was a great man, great mentor. He actually never bashed his football smarts, either. His take was that xCWT was a whole lot of sizzle and no steak. Was all about the optics. Had quite a few negative things to say about Willie's philosophy regarding student-athletes. Tried to put everyone in ******** majors to keep their grades up and make things look good GPA-wise. This particular player and his parents had to have a sit down with xCWT and academics to explain that most of the players would be doing something other than football with their life. Yes, kids enjoyed xCWT's music choices and "fun" appeal, but the older players expected and hoped for more. xCCS was essentially everything xCWT was not in that regard.

That is an interesting take.  But you still got to win football games.

Not a great fan of the portal and Corey was given crap over it but for our offensive line We should consider this. Your point on Juco would also seem to be the way to go. McCloud was decent with passing on the run and we will probably need more of the same next year.

The opinions of 18-21 year olds shouldn't have any bearing on the direction of our program.

**** I sound old with that statement, but I believe it.

Kb player professional for 13 year. Ever since he started as a head coach he has won either a conference or national championship in his 1st 3 season. High school won the state championship.  Jacksonville never had a winning record. Year 2 he won the conference championship. Kb last year 2 years at Jacksonville he was 9 and 2,  9 and 2. Since then Jacksonville has went 5 and 5, 7 and 4, 2 and 8, 3 and 8 (won 1 game in conference this year) at Valdosta year 3 he won conference and national championship. The guy builds programs as a head coach and wins championships

Absolutely. And he wasn't happy about that aspect. He just never unloaded his football beef with me. I will add one comment he made from the 2018 season after a game he was in attendance for after graduation. His exact words were, "At some point, coaches can't catch the ******* ball for you." And then he proceeded to lambast the current players over execution. Not a word about development, etc. Pretty much said the 2018 group was losing games because they didn't do their own jobs.

Plus you add blake getting hurt again and only having 1 scholarship qb who was also hurt all year with his thumb and wasn’t ready to play. I mean Kb did figure out how to beat BYU which Tennessee, usc and Boise state couldn’t do. USC Oc is suppose to be so good though. Ga tech game as bad as blake we had chance to win an Cronkite fumbled on the 1.  Also atleast when we played the Ecu’s and UConn’s we actually scored a lot of points vs them. Unlike last year where we couldn’t score vs unconn or Ecu and we had better players last year. Also Kb gained over 400 yards on a Cincinnati defense that teams with a lot more talent struggled with. If you really look at all the issues offensive team went through with injuries and who we had playing qb , oline and then no Johnny ford all year.
