I’m not even upset that we lost tonight, just numb to it all now. If anything, I just feel bad for the guys out there on the field putting their bodies on the line for a staff that can’t figure out how to put our guys in position to win.

Sucks we are so used to losing that it’s what you expect.

If you feel bad for anyone, feel bad for the kicker.  He's probably going through a personal hell at the moment.

Indeed.  It's a team sport though if there ever was one.

The game was a pleasant surprise even with the painful ending. I expected that they would embarrass us like SMU did. McCloud is still not the answer but I'm impressed how the team has not quit. Around here we know the look of a team that's quit...this team is still fighting and it's nice to see.

I feel bad for the kicker, as well.  It reminds me of Delbert Alvarado.  The poor guy wasn't a kicker, but we made him kick anyway.  And he went out there and did his best knowing it wasn't going to be good.  That's a good teammate.

agreed except with the McCloud part. nice to see them fight and the coaches coach to win the game.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
