What if the offense later in year looks really good say avgs 35+ a game but you arent winning many games cause of a bad defense. So you you have a offense that should have won 7+ games but only won 4 or so.

Do you still can Strong or do you make changes at DC.

Tricky situation for Kelly.

Easy. Change the DC. It's cheaper. If that doesn't work, clean house. At least the CCS buyout will be lower a year into the future.

Yea that's what I would figure also.

Bad defense has been my biggest frustration with Strong...considering he was a pretty good DC at UF.

Maybe he can pull the LB coach from UF or something similar.

I do too.  Historically, the second year is when his offenses take off.

The problem is he may not get that chance if CCS is canned.

Alot of football left to see how this all plays out.

And this may be what Kelly is thinking (Strong’s begging point) going forward. I think this will depend on eye test improvement by the offense as the season progress. They played better against Uconn than they did against a similar opponent in SC State so let’s see if they can maintain some consistency against a middle of the road opponent.

I seem to keep saying this every week, but BYU is a big pivotal game in this process.  They are not great defensively.  So our offense has a punchers chance to do well......which even if we lose would further support your argument.
